Blairgowrie House

A pavilion house, the planning of separate volumes about a central courtyard repeats
the immediate coastal forms of the enclosing sand dunes. Close to the beach, however
without view, the double height volumes of the living spaces protect the north facing
pool and outdoor spaces from the prevailing southerly ocean winds.
The restrained street façade of plain garages and limited windows further reinforces
the inward, private nature of this house, where the lap pool extends immediately
from behind the link entry, visually connecting the primary living zones once inside
the house.
