Corinella House
2001
Project Designer
GJD
This house on a large property on Victoria’s Bass Coast manipulates the traditional
notion of the farmhouse or homestead, inverting the hip roof and rotating it off
the main house axis, suggesting a new way of thinking about the verandah.
The roof in this plane bisects the linear house, suggesting directional qualities
toward the view by reflecting the ground plane at one end and opposing it at the
other.
