Bath Street House
Mornington
2003
Project Designer
GJD
This small house on a tiny site in a well established street in Mornington tests
ideas of disparity [through material and form] in an otherwise conservative, homogenous
context.
The building itself is of various inconsistencies, the ply clad living room extends
from the steel angled rear walls, while the industrial deck framing sits adjacent
stonework.
The house makes best use of the difficult site to maximise north solar access and
bay views while preserving privacy from close neighbours and minimises overlooking. |
